In the case of an A-Z for an INR, which I wouldn’t win as untracked, is there any downside to just ignoring the response process, and just letting it be awarded?

You forego the possibility, however slight, that Amazon award the claim but actually fund it themselves?
Why wouldn’t you bother to spend two minutes to formulate a brief response?

Unfortunately, A-z will count towards the defect rate regardless it was your fault, withdrawn or found in your favour
