What is Error 5461?

This error appears when you attempt to create a new ASIN but don't yet have approval to list products for that specific brand, even if you have a valid GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) from GS1.

How to Resolve Error 5461?

1. Submit a Brand Approval Application

Your first step is to submit a brand approval application through Seller Central. Here's what you'll need:

  • Exact brand name as it appears on the product
  • Product identifier (UPC, EAN, ISBN, or JAN)
  • Clear, high-quality images showing:

-> The product

-> Product packaging

-> Brand name

_> Barcode

2. For Brand Owners

If you own the brand, make sure your Brand Registry account is properly linked to your Seller Central account. This connection helps streamline the approval process.

3. Wait for Approval

After submitting your application:

  • Processing typically takes up to 24 hours
  • Once approved, you can begin creating new listings for the brand
  • Keep checking your Seller Central notifications for updates

when applying for approval for listing products we are stuck with the sub category grocery and gourmet food. we are able to sell the products as individuals but then cannot list because of the sub category . we have uploaded invoices from wholesalers but amazon are saying we need authorization individual manufactures. we buy from wholesalers not manufacturers ,, solutions please.

Like many of you we have been going back and forth with this with seemingly no resolution in site. its been 3 months of no payouts and im confused with what to do. hoping maybe the mods can assist or atleast give me a response that's not automated and vague.

i am a uk based amazon seller, under the vat threshold

i have provided

driver license

virgin media bill

british gas bill

my accountants bill

shopify bill

water bill

proof of parcels being collected from the address

i dont want to click the "i am not established in the uk" button, because i am.

Im having an issue which can't be solved via Seller Support.

4 months ago I received a KYC email and promptly uploaded verification details, the next day no issues and the account was back up with full selling privileges.

Today I woke up and I had disbursements cancelled and i couldn't request disbursement. After speaking with seller central they said my account has been subject to a verification check and to check performance notifications. The only performance notifications from Amazon are regarding ID for a secondary user that we cannot get a suitable ID from (that amazon needs) until next month. Since, i have deleted the user just in case this is causing the issue.

After further investigation I have noticed that my driving licence expired yesterday, the one issued within amazon KYC back in February - my issue is, if this is the issue why don't i have a notification to upload the new ID document. I can't get through to anyone and i'm just being told to wait 10 days until KYC team get back to me, it's worrying how they've not sent me any communication regarding this. Unfortunately we have staff and bills to pay for -- Any help in terms of point of contact or help from the mods would be really appreciated.

Repeat pending order

For the last three weeks I have had the same item pending for 7 days and then cancelled to be reordered the following day and again pending for a week before cancelling and then reordering again. I know it is usually to do with payments. However, it is a business customer who has had the order pending now for 3 weeks.

Whilst it is pending it is not available for sale, am I being cynical here wondering if another seller has the same item for sale and I am the competition to be removed?

I've been left a 1 star review by a buyer for an incorrect reason.

They stated that they ordered 1 shampoo, and 1 conditioner, and instead, received 2 shampoos.

The 1 shampoo they ordered was fulfilled by me, but the conditioner must've been a separate order as I don't currently sell any conditioners.

Somehow and somewhere, there has been a mess-up with the order, however, this was not my fault. They ordered 1 shampoo from me, they have now received this. The conditioner is a separate issue which is nothing to do from me, yet I received a negative review.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Not getting sale - Adverstising making me loss

Hello everyone,

I am on Amazon for atleast 7 years now as a side business. But my sale has gone quickly from last couple of years.

I have tried marketing - keyword search A+ contents and spoken to Amazon Seller experts (they said your account is healthy, we dont see any issue).

But now i am desprately looking to make some sales. For example ASIN B07ZG35DXX and B08BWD2F5C .

These were my high profit making, but i have to bring them almost 0 profit to generate some sale.

Can someone please have a look and help me with some expert solution.

hi all, what do we do about customers that take the Mickey?

Customer stated parcel was not delivered. About £50 worth

Customer opened an a-z and was refunded.

Upon checking the tracking the parcel has been delivered.

I appeal the a-z and send proof of tracking and amazon denied the case.

What on earth is wrong with them? How hard is it to check the tracking which was provided on the order and on the appeal.

Any help appreciated

App not working

When attempting to add a product using the app it gets to the "add offer" screen which is entirely blank, with no options. This happened last night and is still the same today. I've deleted and added the app and it's still the same

I can create them on the desktop so it isn't a problem with permissions, it's the app itself

Anyone else having this issue?

My store received a notice of alleged trademark infringement on March 15, 2024. Amazon told me in an email that I needed to edit the product and delete the corresponding trademark language before the product could be restored.

I have already updated the product from March 15, 2024, but Amazon has not reinstated my product. And contact Seller Support several times to restore my product as soon as possible. Seller Support told me that I need to wait 48 hours for the product to recover. After three days of waiting and multiple contacts with Seller Support, my account was deactivated by Amazon on March 19, 2024. Obviously, seller support isn't an effective solution to any problems.

The deactivated email tells me that I need to:

To reactivate your account, please send us the following information:

– the root cause of each of the IP policy violations listed above.

— The actions you have taken to address each of the violations of the Intellectual Property Policy listed above.

— The steps you have taken to prevent future violations of each of the intellectual property policies listed above.

I have appealed several times since March 2024. It's been over a year now, and Amazon has never responded to my appeal.

Can anyone help me.
