We want to address a concern that many of you have raised regarding unauthorized Brand name changes on Amazon.

We have engaged with many of you, hear you, and we understand the frustration and potential impact this can have on your business. First, we want to assure you that we are actively working with our internal teams to address this issue. Your feedback is invaluable, and we're committed to improving the selling experience for all of our partners.

If you experience an unauthorized brand name change, please follow these steps:

1. Submit a report through the "Report Abuse" feature

2. Select "Product detail page was changed to represent a different product"

3. We suggest sellers to provide relevant details such as when the ASIN was created, by whom, and what the brand name was originally.

4. We're continuously monitoring these reports and working to streamline the resolution process.

However, if your report is declined, please don't hesitate to create a discussion post in the "Manage Your Brand" category and be sure to include your complaint ID for faster follow-up.

We want to emphasize that we're taking this matter seriously and our teams are collaborating to develop more robust safeguards against unauthorized brand name changes. We appreciate your patience as we work towards a more secure and efficient system.

As always, we're here to help. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Amazon's FBA Fees (UK and Eu Sites) Make no Sense
by Seller_PY6qN1rPPfY0J

Hi All,

I wanted to ask you lot about something that's been puzzling me for ages, relating to Amazon's FBA fulfilment fees. With regard to my inventory, I have a number of products that are almost identical but sold as separate ASIN's, yet Amazon's fees for fulfilling them are all different. In some cases, you have two products that are an identical size and weight, yet Amazon will charge e.g. 30 cents more to send one to a customer in Europe, than the other.

Does anyone know why these discrepancies exist? How do Amazon calculate what to charge for the fulfilment fee? Is there anything that can be done to fix such discrepancies?

I did wonder if the answer might lie in the weight and dimensions of the product as entered in the back end but I can't see any evidence of that causing the issue.

I look forward to your replies.

Listing Standalone Product – Errors 8008 & 990100
by Seller_5tMB7ei6tidr4

Hi all,

I'm struggling to list a new standalone product, but my flat file keeps returning two errors:

8008 – Your child SKU is not set up correctly. Check if there are any product-related errors that prevented child SKU creation. Fix them first before trying to create any relationship.

990100 – The parent SKU was refused because there exists at least one non-approved package_contains relationship. Address any other issues associated with the SKU before resubmitting the relationship.

The confusing part is that this item isn't part of any variation family—it’s neither a parent nor a child. I'm leaving all parentage-related fields blank: Parentage, Parent SKU, Child Relationship Type, and Variation Theme Name.

I’ve contacted Seller Support and they advised to leave the Package Contains SKU Quantity and Package Contains SKU Identifier fields blank. I have done so, though I don't really understand why as this is a standalone unit, and these fields are optional and seem to be more relevant for multi pack items.

They weren’t able to assist further, and I’ve been receiving canned responses since. So I thought I’d ask here in case anyone has encountered a similar issue or has insight into what might be causing these errors.

If this message is being reviewed by an Amazon representative, the batch ID is: 5431964020286.

Thanks!

I'M EXTREMELY NERVOUS RIGHT NOW. PLEASE HELP ME
by Seller_M1O7egOFDijXI

I really have no idea what Amazon is doing.

Here is what happened.

I'm a North America seller. I was trying to register for Middle East sites. However, when I clicked sign up, Amazon registered all my European sites automatically, and the Middle East sites disappearred. I was shocked. Then I immediately received a dozen of emails. One of the email is pending KYC. My UK site now says I have to add bank account and verify my business info in order to sell in Europe.

I'm totally lost right now. I never intend to sell in Europe and I will not sell in Europe. What should I do now? Can I just igore this? My concern is if anything happens to EU sites, my North America sites will be affected, and I will screwed. I sell on Amazon for a living. If this is not handled well and my North America account is affected, I will be really screwed up.

Amazon really has no logic. Please I need guidance on what to do.

Hi all,

I’m dealing with a customer issue and would appreciate advice on how other sellers handle similar situations.

A buyer is accusing our product of being fake and demanding a refund without returning the item. I’ve made it clear that we will only issue a refund once the item is returned, as all our products are 100% genuine and approved by Amazon.

This is actually the second time I’ve had a customer try to get a free item by making a false counterfeit claim. In both cases, Amazon asked us to submit documentation. We provided invoices and brand authorization, and Amazon confirmed everything was in order.

It seems like Amazon asks for supporting documents every time someone makes a claim like this, which is fine since we only sell authentic goods anyway.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of behaviour from customers? How do you usually handle it?

Summary:

Buyer claims a item is fake and demands a refund

No return request has been initiated

We have provided proof of authenticity (brand authorization and invoices) to Amazon

Customer is trying to get a refund without sending the item back

Amazon customer service has contacted us twice asking us to "help the customer accordingly" but the return request still hasn't been made

Here’s the timeline and key messages:

02-Jul-2025 07:12 – Customer:

“I believe this is a fake . I want my money back.”

02-Jul-2025 10:00 – Our reply:

Thank you for your message. We want to assure you that our products are sourced directly from the manufacturer, and we are confident in their authenticity. We understand your concern and take such matters seriously.

While we do not issue refunds based solely on personal belief or suspicion, you are welcome to return the item if it is within the return window and meets the conditions outlined in our refund policy. Please note that refunds will be processed in accordance with that policy.

If you need assistance initiating a return, we’re here to help.

Best regards,

08-Jul-2025 – Message from Amazon CS:

Customer contacted Amazon stating the item is fake and they want a refund (but still no return request).

08-Jul-2025 – Our reply to customer:

Firmly rejected the fake claim, confirmed product authenticity, and restated refund only upon return in unused condition. Warned that false accusations may be reported.

11-Jul-2025 – Second message from Amazon CS:

Again asking us to help the customer, still no return request.

11-Jul-2025 – Our final reply to the customer:

We strongly reject your repeated claim that the item is fake. We have already submitted all required documentation to Amazon, including proof of authenticity, brand authorization, and invoices. The product is 100% genuine and complies with Amazon’s policies.

Your accusations are baseless and damaging. We are now reporting your behaviour to Amazon for making false claims and misusing the return system.

We will no longer engage in further communication regarding this matter. If you wish to return the item, it must be in original, unused condition. Once we receive and inspect it, your refund will be processed within 48 hours.

Both Amazon and our store operate under clear terms and conditions. Repeated calls or complaints will not change those terms. You are expected to follow the same rules as every other customer.

This is our final message. You have been reported.

We’ve now reported this behaviour to Amazon but I’m wondering:

Have other sellers experienced buyers trying to get refunds by claiming items are fake but refusing to return them?

How do you protect yourself when buyers make false counterfeit claims without evidence? Personally i never give a refund unless item returned original condition.

Is it common for Amazon to push sellers to "help" in cases like this even when the buyer refuses to follow return policy?

Appreciate any input or experiences you can share.

Thanks!

Does Image File Naming Affect Amazon SEO?
by Seller_Iw1vqt8kDmC24

Hello everyone,

When uploading photos to Amazon, how should we do the file naming of the photos? Does it have an effect on the Amazon algorithm? Should we put hyphens between words for SEO when naming words?

Thank you

Hi fellow sellers,

I’m reaching out because like many of you, I’ve reached a breaking point with the way small businesses are treated by Amazon’s A-to-Z claims system and the lack of accountability from couriers like Evri.

Over the past few months, I’ve dealt with multiple cases where:

Buyers falsely claimed parcels weren’t delivered (despite GPS, signatures, or photographic evidence).

Amazon sided with the buyer automatically, refunding them without properly reviewing the evidence.

Couriers like Evri marked parcels as delivered or left them in insecure places, then refused to take responsibility.

Seller appeals were ignored or denied with copy-paste responses.

The only option left was to take court action just to recover the cost of lost goods and unfair refunds.

And I know I’m far from alone — I’ve seen hundreds if not thousands of similar stories here in the forums, across TikTok Shop discussions, Reddit, and Facebook seller groups.

Enough is enough.

I’ve now written a formal letter to:

My local MP

The Department for Business and Trade

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)

And I’m reaching out to the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)

📢 What I’m Asking:

We need legal reform to:

Hold platforms like Amazon accountable when they dismiss seller evidence.

Introduce independent dispute resolution, not just biased internal appeal systems.

Regulate courier services like Evri when they repeatedly fail to deliver properly.

Protect sellers from fraudulent buyers with a clear record of abuse.

Make platforms share liability — instead of pushing all the risk onto sellers.

👉 If you’ve experienced similar issues, I strongly encourage you to write to your MP and government departments too. The more of us speak up, the more likely we’ll see change.

Let’s stop suffering in silence. We built our businesses with hard work — we deserve protection, not punishment.

someone please advise,

my account was deactivated last year October due to supposed inauthenticity.

I have provided all required documents AMZ has required (from invoices through bank account statements to God knows what), with Account Health support we went through the points and she admitted how my invoices match the given criteria YET a backend support believes my invoices are not matching the criteria AND they would not tell my why.

They say they cannot disclose that information as it is confidential- but this is my account, I am the director!

How can I make a successful appeal if I am not told what the problem is?!

I just want to close the account and get rid of AMZ, but I cannot make a successful appeal if I dont know what the problem is.

What am I to do, please if someone has any suggestion share.
