Shipping to fba in europe from UK
Hello
We are trying to get through with shipping to amazon FBA warehouses in EU. So far our parcels has been returned by parcelforce despite we have chosen all duty paid shipping all documents has been provided. We started to search for a courier but so far DPD has refused to send our parcels as they say we need to have physical address in destination country. We have all vat numbers in Europe and EORI in France and of course in UK. Other company ( worldoption recommended by one of the sellers) told us they temporary do not take parcels to amazon in Europe because most of them are returned to UK. Does any one successfully send parcels to EU amazon warehouses and can share tips and ideas.
Kind regards Bob

I have successfully sent a package to Italy last month and currently a package awaiting clearance in Germany. I use UPS and am a business. Get a business UPS account. Then from their website get Power of attorney and sign it and send to them. This PoA tells UPS that all vat and duties to be billed to your business account. After that is done when you send via UPS on commercial invoice put receiver phone number as yours and email “amazon carp” (contact amazon and get their CARP france email address). Most importantly on commercial invoice mention “DDP” and “F/D” (Free domicile - UPS only - means vat to be charged to sender). Mention your EORI and vat numbers. Only thing i’m unsure of is that currently I don’t mention Amazon EU EORI number in CI and my package gets stuck with UPS for weeks until they contact amazon carp and get some info. If anyone else can help if Amazon EORI number is needed on CI for help with clearance quicker?

Any updates on this thread? We’re also looking at sending our first shipment to FBA Germany - we have UK VAT and EORI and have recently applied for VAT registration through Amazon VAT Services (Alavara) so we don’t have our Germany VAT certificate yet.
Do we have to wait until we have a German VAT certificate to ship to FBA Germany, and when we do ship do we have to use a German logistics company to import and deliver to FBA Germany? Tks!

We send FBA either on pallets or single boxes to Amazon in Europe from the UK. Avalara and Amazon have a recent partnership to ship boxes for €25.00 per box or €20.00 per box if you send 5 or more in each consignment. It is on for a limited time. There is a broker fee to pay to Avalara for each consignment, however Amazon refund that after a few weeks. Maybe worthwhile asking Avalara about the offer, as think we got an invite a few months ago. Back in early 2021 it was taking 6 weeks to get stock in Europe, now it is about 3 to 4 weeks.

Hello Everybody
So I have dropped all that UPS, DPD or Parcelforce services. They are useless if you do not have physical business address in EU. If you do not have physical business address in EU you need custom broker and average cost is between 150-250 euros per shipment, so with just parcels it does not work-too expensive. We decided to do pallet transport. We have contacted Kuehne Nagel who works with amazon directly and is recommended by Amazon for Pallet transport to EU. They do transports to France, Germany or Poland. Once you will contact them on following email: amazon-fba.overland@kuehne-nagel.com they will assign someone near to your postcode to contact you by email. This person will send you a list of instructions which you need to follow including custom brokers in destination countries. The cheapest is in France and Poland. The custom brokers recommended by KNagel know the amazon business and are very helpful. We already shipped one pallet in September which was successfully delivered within two weeks and items was available in all amazon eu marketplaces one week later (with amazon EU pan). You need to have VAT numbers in amazon marketplaces where you want to sell and one EU eori number. If you deal with Avask the French one is cheap to get and reasonable quick. Note: Avask custom broker service is very expensive and they need few thousand pounds some kind of deposit which of course nobody want to freeze this kind of money. This is what they demanded from me in May so i dropped them as well in terms custom broker service. Still do EU vat with them. . With Kuehne Nagel brokers (all speak English) you will do it much cheaper and quicker. Wish you all well. It took me 6 month to work it out. I have my 26 wedding anniversary this weekend with party starting today finishing on Sunday so will not able to replay to your posts -but it works. Kuehne Nagel with kindly help with everything.
Have a nice weekend-Bob

Wow, Joel. I’ve spent the ENTIRE day researching how I can ship a parcel to FBA France and I think you may have just ‘‘saved my life’’! Another country that I was planning to ship FBA is Italy(!) Thank you so much for sharing all this information - you must be an ANGEL!
Woud you be able to share the carp email address for France and Italy to be stated on the shipping invoice at all?
Also, would you be able to share more particulars of what sorts of charges (percentages of values you declared on your invoice) UPS raised on your account?
Many thanks and blessings for the goodwill you’ve put out.
Andrea
