With Multi-Country Inventory (MCI) you can ship to and store your FBA inventory in Amazon fulfilment centres in multiple countries of your choice across Europe. MCI offers the following benefits:
By selecting an additional country either in the shipping workflow or by enabling Multi-Country Inventory storage in your FBA settings, you can ship your inventory to and you authorise Amazon to store and move any of your FBA inventory in fulfilment centres in the countries selected, independent of your inbound shipments. By enabling storage in an additional country, you confirm that there are no legal restrictions in storing your FBA inventory in the selected countries.
Note: Storing Units in an additional country to your home marketplace country will trigger additional VAT registration and reporting obligations for your business (as well as other reporting requirements such as Intrastat). You will be responsible for the collection and payment of your taxes together with the filing of all relevant returns and issuing VAT invoices/credit notes where required. For information about external tax advisors, please refer to the following page: https://services.amazon.com/solution-providers/#/search/UK/tax.
All your inventory that is stored throughout Amazon European fulfilment centres is considered as one single pool of European inventory. If you have listings in marketplaces where you do not have local inventory, we will fulfil orders remotely from your remaining European inventory pool.
If you select the MCI option to store your inventory in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic you authorise Amazon to allocate and store your German Inventory in any of Amazon’s fulfilment centres in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. “German Inventory” means products that you designate at inbound for storage in Germany or that are placed by Amazon in an Amazon fulfilment centre in Germany, Poland or the Czech Republic according to FBA policy. Products stored in our fulfilment centres in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic are considered one single pool of inventory within the German fulfilment network (“German Inventory Pool”) until fulfilled or removed, even if you later deselect this option in your FBA settings.
There are no additional fees for using our Multi-Country Inventory service.
Storage fees and your Fulfilment Fee will be charged as applicable per country with the exception that Amazon.de’s FBA rate card will apply to your entire German Inventory Pool.
You can enable MCI in either of the two ways described below.
Please note that Multi-Country Inventory is only available after you have converted listings to Fulfilment by Amazon.
You may deselect storage for countries other than your home-marketplace country at any time in the Multi-Country Inventory Settings section of your FBA settings in Seller Central. You no longer can ship your inventory to any country that you deselect and with up to a five working day delay we will prevent future inflow of your inventory for storage into that country.
All remaining units stored in a country that you deselect will nevertheless continue to be part of your European inventory and, if applicable, German Inventory Pool, until you have sold or removed all units in that country. Standard local FBA fees will continue to apply. We will not offer trans-shipment to another European country's fulfilment centre. We will discontinue to store inventory in a deselected country once you have sold or removed all remaining inventory from that country. Note that inventory may temporarily reside in unauthorised countries in preparation for trans-shipment to an authorised location.
