Important: You must be an Amazon MWS developer in order to send a Merchant Fulfillment request.
An application program interface (API) is a tool that developers can use to build software applications. Developers can use the Merchant Fulfillment API to build applications that let sellers purchase shipping using Amazon's Buy Shipping.
If you want to buy shipping from your seller account, see Buy shipping through Seller Central.
With the Merchant Fulfilment API, you can:
-
Access Buy Shipping through the Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS).
-
Manage your delivery with a delivery integrator that has adopted the Merchant Fulfilment API.
-
Purchase delivery services directly through the Merchant Fulfilment API.
Note: Refer to the
MWS documentation for how to fulfil orders for each marketplace via the MWS API.
Terms and conditions
Before you can use Buy Shipping, you must review and accept Amazon's terms and conditions and the terms and conditions of carriers that you want to buy shipping from.
To review and accept terms and conditions:
-
In your seller account, go to Manage Shipping Services.
-
Read Amazon's terms and conditions for this service and the terms and conditions of each carrier, and click the I agree check-boxes to accept them.
Important: If you do not agree to the terms and conditions for a particular carrier, its shipping services will not be available to you.
-
Click Submit.
Developers can learn more about building applications at Amazon MWS.
