Modify transit time

Transit Time (previously known as Shipping Time) is the time between when you hand the order over to your carrier until its delivery to the buyer's address. Transit time is part of the delivery time calculation displayed on the offer listing and checkout page:

Total Delivery Time = Handling Time + Transit Time (+ any holidays)

To modify your transit time, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Delivery Settings.
  2. Under the Delivery Templates tab, select the delivery template that you want to edit.
  3. Click Edit Template on the right hand side of the screen.
  4. Select the Shipping option and Regions option that you want to configure.
  5. Modify the transit time by selecting the drop down menu under the Transit Time excluding handling time column.
  6. Repeat for as many Shipping options and Regions as needed.
    Note: Standard shipping requires you to be able to ship to all regions in the UK (excluding British Forces Post Office addresses). Learn more.
  7. Click Save.

UK Seller Delivery Policy

We require sellers to offer Standard Delivery to all addresses in the UK for the same delivery fee. This includes addresses in England, Scotland (including the Highlands, Orkney, Shetland and all other islands), Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands. Failure to comply with this policy may result in action being taken against your selling account. The following actions are examples of seller behaviour that are not permitted given this policy:

  • Using product description bullet points to refuse delivery to certain regions or to request additional delivery fees
  • Using product description bullet points to request that customers in certain regions choose ‘express delivery’ in order to collect additional delivery fees
  • Contacting customers to request additional delivery fees.
Note: The only exception to the above policy is for products that are eligible for scheduled delivery as part of their enrolment in the Heavy & Large Programme. As part of this Heavy & Large Programme, sellers can adjust delivery charges in regions via their Delivery Settings, but they are still required to comply with all other requirements of the policy.
