Important: Failure to comply with FBA product preparation requirements, safety requirements, and product restrictions may result in the refusal of inventory at the Amazon fulfilment centre, disposal or return of inventory, blocking of future shipments to the fulfilment centre, or charging for preparation or for noncompliance at the fulfilment centre. Please share these requirements with your carrier or vendor to ensure that they fully understand these requirements.
Box content information
Providing box content information improves the management of your inventory within Amazon and helps your products become available for sale more quickly. For more information, see Provide box content information.
Important: Failure to provide accurate box content information might result in blocking of future shipments, and a manual processing fee will be applied.
During shipment creation (even if you select Skip providing box contents), make sure that:
Each box contains inventory from only one shipment ID. You must not combine items from multiple shipments in the same box. You can find the shipment ID on the Summary page for that shipment.
The shipment details listed on your shipping plan match the shipment being sent to the fulfilment centre, including:
The following requirements apply to all boxes shipped to Amazon fulfilment centres whether by small parcel delivery, less than truckload (LTL) or full truckload (FTL) shipping.
Each box you include in the shipment must have its own uniqueFBA Box ID label printed from your Shipping Queue.
Use a rigid, six-sided container with flaps intact. Boxes must sufficiently protect the contents during transit and processing at Amazon's fulfilment centres. Examples of appropriate containers include RSC (regular slotted carton), B flute, ECT-32 (edge crush test), 200BH (burst strength).
Do not use pallet-sized boxes (also known as "gaylords").
Boxes must be packaged so that the contents can withstand the rigours of transportation and processing at Amazon fulfilment centres. If you need to use dunnage while transporting your shipments to the fulfilment centre, ensure that you use Amazon-approved forms of dunnage (please refer to Packing material section below).
be covered in packing tape as this prevents them from being able to be recycled
contain metal staples or plastic corner protectors
be made of wood or metal
be secured or bundled together using plastic straps or tape.
Watch this brief video for examples of how to prepare your boxes for shipment to Amazon fulfilment centres.
Box weight and dimensions
Boxes containing multiple standard-size items must not exceed 63.5 cm on any side. A box may exceed the 63.5 cm if it contains oversize units that measure longer than 63.5 cm. Boxes that are excessively large relative to the oversize units may be subject to restriction of shipping privileges, additional fees, or refusal at a fulfilment centre.
If you are using an Amazon-partnered carrier, make sure that you accurately weigh and measure boxes and pallets to ensure that the correct values are supplied for every shipment.
Boxes must not exceed the standard weight limit of 23 kg, unless they contain one single oversized item that exceeds 23 kg.
Boxes weighing between 15 kg - 23 kg must contain "Heavy Package" label viewable from the top and sides of each heavy-weight container (5 labels in total).
For a single oversized item that exceeds 15 kg, attach a "Heavy Package" label from the top and sides of each heavy-weight container (5 labels in total).
Important: Box weight and dimension policies are strictly enforced. Sending overweight cartons to the fulfilment centre may lead to blocking of future shipments.
Note: Accurate box weight and dimensions are required for all shipments, even if you opt to not provide box content information in Seller Central.

Pallets shipped internationally must be heat treated to ISPM-15 standard.

Ensure that the pallets are properly attached together on the shortest side (1000 mm or 800 mm), that items are attached to the bundle pallets and that the short side of the pallet faces the rear of the vehicle. Please note that the longest side of the item should be placed horizontally on the pallets.
Regardless of pallet option, pallets must not exceed 500kg in gross weight including the weight of the pallet.
Palletised deliveries must be made on a vehicle that is able to reverse up to our loading bay door and allows access to the rear of the vehicle by powered industrial pallet trucks. This should be at least a 7.5t vehicle or greater with a reinforced floor.

Private domestic vehicles are not allowed to make deliveries to Amazon's fulfilment centres. To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend that you use a reputable carrier company to deliver deliveries on your behalf.
Each box in a shipment requires an Amazon FBA Box ID label, which should be placed next to any carrier labels. For more information, see Shipment label requirements.
