The Restock Inventory tool provides recommendations on products to restock, suggested order quantities and reorder dates. It helps you to keep track of your inventory and your supplier orders so that you can maximise sales by having enough product demand. You can customise your recommendations by configuring your inputs such as order lead time and case pack quantities.
Inventory management recommendations and related estimates (for example, estimated days of supply) are based on a variety of factors. These include your sales history, seasonality and the product's historical selling prices and sales volume. The relevance of these recommendations can be improved when you enter additional details regarding your business, which may include the lead time that your supplier requires for new purchase orders, reorder frequency and minimum order quantities.
The Restock Inventory tool is intended to provide you with information to help manage your inventory levels but the use of this tool is not a substitute for your own judgement about demand for your products. Many factors may influence the actual demand for your products, including price fluctuations, consumer demand shifts and changes in competing offers for those products. Recommendations are not a guarantee of future results, and sellers remain responsible for determining their prices and inventory levels.
Products that are newly eligible for the Monthly storage fee promotion for maintaining target inventory in the current month have an Inventory Level Monitor. The monitor is divided into five zones. If your unit count for the FNSKU is in the green zone, your inventory level for the FNSKU is on target for free monthly storage in the current month. If your unit count for the FNSKU is in the red or yellow zones, your FNSKU currently has too much or too little inventory to qualify.
The Inventory Level Monitor should be used for estimated inventory levels only. End-of-day inventory snapshots are used to evaluate qualification criteria, and not all inventory dispositions are included in the unit count displayed in the monitor.
If your product does not show an Inventory Level Monitor, it is not among the automatically eligible products flagged in the Restock Inventory report for the current month. The product will still be eligible for the promotion if it meets the separate sales velocity threshold at the end of the month.
Note that the days of supply estimate will not necessarily be 4 to 8 weeks even if your inventory is in the green zone. The days of supply estimate is the number of days that your current inventory level will last based on the most recent forecast. The green zone thresholds are calculated a month in advance.
We are always working to expand the number of products for which we have recommendations, but some products are not yet eligible for inclusion. We also currently provide recommendations only for your FBA inventory.
You can fine-tune your restock recommendations by adjusting product-level inputs such as Supplier lead time and Reorder frequency. To update these settings, click on View details for a product to be taken to the SKU details page. You can also configure your settings in bulk by clicking Product settings at the top right of the Restock Inventory page.
This will alert you to certain conditions that may affect the relevance of your recommendations, such as:
This product has a limited sales history.
This alert indicates that the product has less than one year of sales history. For products without sufficient sales history or other important information, restock recommendations and related estimates may be based on your historical sales for that product. They may not take into account factors such as seasonality.
You do not have the lowest price offer.
This alert displays when there are multiple sellers with offers on a given product and you do not have the current lowest offering price.

No. You can enter a nickname or code to represent your suppliers. Doing this will not change the quality of your restock recommendations.
You can indicate that a SKU is not replenishable on Restock Inventory by clicking View details to the right of the page and selecting Hide recommendation. Hiding all SKUs associated with an ASIN will exclude the ASIN from your FBA in-stock rate and estimated FBA lost sales.
Note that hiding replenishable SKUs is not an effective way to increase your Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score for the following reasons:
The estimated number of days that your current inventory supply will last based on the projected demand for your product.
The estimated cost for restocking a particular product from your supplier, which is calculated by multiplying your recommended order quantity with your Cost of Purchase.
This alert identifies items where the days of supply is less than lead time, which indicates that orders from your supplier may need to be expedited in order to avoid going out of stock.
This alert is shown for items that are no longer in inventory.
The suggested date to reorder the product from your supplier to avoid a low or out-of-stock scenario, based on your estimated days of supply and lead time.
The recommendation for the number of units that should be purchased from your supplier.
