Selling Books, Music, Video and DVD products

Sellers are required to ship all Books, Music, Video and DVD products within two business days of the date the order confirmation is made available to you. Shipping rates and service options are set by Amazon. For more information, see Shipping BMVD Products.

Video, DVD, & Blu-ray

Amazon has selection criteria regarding the addition of sellers to the Video, DVD & Blu-ray category to ensure that customers are able to buy with confidence on Amazon.

Note: Videos, DVDs, and Blu-rays and their material (such as cover image and product descriptions) must adhere to the Amazon Content Policy Guidelines, which may change over time. We reserve the right to decide whether content you intend to sell on Amazon is appropriate for sale on the website.

In an effort to provide the best customer experience, we may choose not to offer your content or otherwise restrict its availability. If you don't adhere to the content policy guidelines, we may also take corrective actions, as appropriate, in relation to your seller account.

Music products

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide a great shopping experience, we have implemented additional selling qualifications for products in the Music & CD category. Access the Music & CDs Help page to learn more about selling products in this category.

Sellers are required to ship all Books, Music, Video and DVD products within two business days of the date the order confirmation is made available to you. For more information, see Shipping BMVD Products.

Fixed price laws on books may apply in your marketplace. Please ensure that your listings comply with applicable law.

Using multiple seller accounts

In general, sellers on Amazon are allowed only one seller account. We recognize, however, that sellers may need to open a second seller account to accommodate the range of product lines they are offering. The only time multiple seller accounts should be considered by the same seller is when the seller uses one seller account for books, music, videos and/or DVDs and a second seller account for sales in all other categories.

If you decide to create a second seller account to sell media items on Amazon, your second seller account must have different financial information from your current seller account. The seller accounts may not share the same credit card or the same bank account. Please note that Amazon reserves the right to close seller accounts that violate our rules.
