Watches

Amazon limits the addition of sellers in the Watches category to ensure that customers are able to buy with confidence from all sellers on Amazon.

While our site-wide selling guidelines still apply, please note the additional requirements for the Watches category.

Seller requirements

  • You must be signed up for a Professional selling plan on Amazon.
  • You must have an inventory greater than one product in this category.
  • You must have a return shipping address in the local country or provide free shipping.
  • You must be able to provide local language support for Customer Service in the locale in which the sale is intended.
  • Your own company website is not required, but it is helpful to use for review during the application process.
  • You must provide acceptable documentation (e.g. valid invoices) and other information that we request about the products that you intend to sell.

Product requirements

  • The products that you sell must be new, not used.
  • All products must be intended for sale in the EU and comply with all laws and regulations of the UK (or of local countries).
  • Each product must have one of the following:
    • A valid Barcode that is registered and associated with the product, or
    • Barcode exemption, or
    • Be enrolled in the Brand Registry Programme
Note: If the manufacturer of your product does not issue EANs or UPCs, you can contact Seller Support to request a UPC Exemption. If you are the brand owner, you can apply for the Amazon Brand Registry to get GCIDs that are unique to your products.
  • All products need to comply with EU REACH Regulation.
  • If you plan to list branded products, Amazon reserves the right to ask for invoices of those products from the seller in order to guarantee the quality of the product during the evaluation of the application. If the seller cannot provide the invoice to Seller Support, Amazon reserves the right to decline the application request.
  • Local hallmark legislation for precious metals applies and must be respected in order to sell Jewellery.
Note: If you want to sell watches containing precious metal in the UK, regulations on Hallmark identification marks apply to any product containing more than 1 g of gold, 7.78 g of silver, 0.5 g of platinum or 1 g of palladium. These products must carry hallmarks in order to be sold in the UK. For more information, please visit http://www.assayoffice.co.uk/our-services (web page in English). During the application process, the Hallmark certification released by the Assay Office may be requested from the Seller. If the seller cannot provide the certificate, Amazon reserves the right to decline the application request.

For watches containing precious metal to be sold in Germany and France, Hallmarks are also required, except for those containing less than 30 g silver or less than 3 g of gold.

Image requirements

You will find a comprehensive list of all of Amazon’s image standards that are specific to your product category in the corresponding style guide. Please read the Watches Style Guide carefully as the images that you upload for the Watches category must conform to these standards.
