Correct an error on a product detail page

In most categories, multiple sellers offer the same product via a single detail page. This provides an organised, uniform product presence in our catalogue, and increases the convenience of comparison shopping for potential buyers.

The product information displayed on an Amazon single detail page may be drawn from multiple seller contributions. When several sellers have submitted contributions for one ASIN to our system, automated business logic determines which of the available product descriptions, features, titles and additional details are eventually displayed on the single detail page.

For determining which contributor’s product information is displayed, the business logic takes various factors into account – for example: a seller’s sales volume, refund rate, buyer feedback and A-to-z Guarantee claims. This automated process is regularly repeated to update product information automatically.
