Learn about the FBA Repackaging Service, which allows Amazon to repackage your eligible customer returns so that they can be sold as new.
The FBA Furbishing Service provides FBA sellers with the opportunity to return customer returned units to sellable status when the units are in new and sellable condition but require low-touch refurbishing activities such as polishing, re-adjustment or packaging before they can be sold again as new. For example, if a customer returns a product where the packaging is damaged, or if the product shows signs of having been tried on but it's otherwise in new condition, FBA will evaluate the unit and perform repackaging, cleaning or re-adjustment services (such as poly-bagging, bubble-wrapping, boxing and polishing).
If you choose to opt out of this service, the returned units will be moved to your unsellable inventory and will require removal or disposal at your expense.
Not all products are eligible for the FBA Furbishing Service and not all furbishing activities are available in every fulfilment centre. The FBA Furbishing Service will evaluate each unit on a case-by-case basis to determine whether it is suitable for the refurbishing activity that is available in the respective fulfilment centre.
By default, your account is enabled for the FBA Furbishing Service for eligible categories. You can choose the product categories that you would like to exclude from this service. As additional categories are enabled for the service, you will be auto-enrolled for those categories. You can choose to disable auto-enrolment and you can also choose to receive notifications when new categories launch.
The FBA returns policy also applies to repackaged products. For more information, see the Customer Returns for Orders Placed on Amazon help page.
You can view the status of your customer returns in your Returns report within your Customer Concessions reports.
