Accepted Translated Documents

If you are from one of the following countries, we may request translated documents.

  1. Bulgaria: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by the British Embassy and the Bulgarian Translators' Union.
  2. Republic of Korea: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by a list of translation agencies shared by the Consular Section at the British Embassy or sworn translators licensed by the Ministry of Justice.
  3. Czech Republic: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by translators sworn and registered with a regional court in the Czech Republic.
  4. Hungary: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian.
  5. Latvia: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by a list of translators/interpreters prepared by the British Embassy and the Latvian Association of Interpreters and Translators.
  6. Cyprus: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations carried out with the help of outside translators listed with the Translation Department of the Press Information Office and certified by sworn translators.
  7. Israel: You may be asked to submit notarised, translated documents in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian.
  8. Finland: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept documents translated by authorised translators.
  9. Jordan: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by the list of translators at the British Council and Accredited translators of the Jordanian Translators' Association.
  10. Indonesia: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations from a list of sworn translators provided by the Australian Embassy in Indonesia
  11. Vietnam: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by sworn translators authorised by the government.
  12. Malaysia: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by a list of English-speaking translators/interpreters prepared by the British High Commission and the Malaysian Translators Association.
  13. United Arab Emirates: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents in any of the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by translators who are sworn and licensed to provide legal translation by UAE's Ministry of Justice and are registered members of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC).
  14. Qatar: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by Sworn (certified) translators working for the courts of justice in Qatar.
  15. Cambodia: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian.
  16. Kuwait: You may be asked to submit officially translated documents if they are not in any of the following languages - English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We accept translations provided by the list of translators registered with the Government of Kuwait.
