Take-back obligations for producers and sellers:

  • Producers: Take-back from authorities & disposal

Producers shall ensure on the whole national territory the take-back of WEEE from waste collection centres and proper disposal of WEEE, and shall finance take-back. Producers usually comply with these obligations by means of joining a collective scheme.

  • Sellers: Take-back from customer

When supplying an EEE to private households, online distributors must provide the cost-free take-back of an equivalent WEEE ("1:1 take-back").

There is no 0:1 take-back obligation for online sellers in the Italy.
