Amazon is continuously working to improve the customer buying experience, maintain consistency across product detail pages and ensure that our catalogue quality is at par with current industry standards. We added version_for_country, target_region and model_name fields. These fields are required from December 17, 2020, for listings in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain marketplaces.
In target_region field, you will need to specify the region where the product is aimed at being sold; for example ‘Europe’, ‘North America’ or ‘Global’.
In version_for_country field, you will need to specify the country (or up to five countries) where the product is aimed at being sold (except if target_region is ‘Global’), by selecting the correct entry from a drop-down menu.
In model_name field, you will need to specify the model name as defined by manufacturer or brand, without mentioning product type, colour, brand or size.
You will be prompted to provide the additional version_for_country, target_region and model_name fields when editing your product via Seller Central and will be unable to save changes until the field is provided. This will not impact the availability of your listing.
For new listings and updates to existing listings in mobile phones, download the updated template from Add Products via Upload. If you are using the Add a Product tool on Seller Central, you can see the new requirements by clicking on the Add button on the Manage Inventory page.
