Most products require product identifiers (EAN, UPC or JAN) to be listed on Amazon. However, you may request exemptions in some categories for products that fit into one of the following classifications.
Non-nationally branded product on your own company's label.
Low-volume accessory part/item with a specialised function.
A business-to-business product not sold in a retail store.
Made-to-order or custom products.
In some circumstances, we can provide an exemption from product identifier requirements. (See Overview of Category Requirements and UPC/EAN Exemptions). We look at each situation on a case-by-case basis. Exemptions cannot be granted for single ASINs sold in product bundles or in bulk. You can request an exemption by using the Amazon Seller Support contact form.
