Ungating Invoices

Hi,

I've just started doing Online Arbitrage and luckily managed to find a few profitable products, I've noticed though I'm gated on all of the brand so need to submit invoices for selling approval.

Is it possible at all that Amazon would accept retail invoices for ungating, I'm struggling to find wholesalers and buy direct from the brands in question but can obtain an invoice for the retailer.

I assume it wouldn't work but just wanted to ask to see if anyone else had been successful.

Judging by your name I would assume you are attempting to sell books but your question suggests otherwise. I guess you are not selling in BMVD?

I am mostly a bookseller and few publishers/'brands' are gated in that category but when they are, retail invoices don't really work.

I wouldn't even attempt to sell in other categories on the [unlikley] chance that retail invoices will be accepted.

I used to sell quite a lot of CDs and DVDs on Amazon years ago when almost nothing was gated. That is not the case today and it is now almost impossible to list 'popular' CDs and DVDs without supplying multiple invoices.

Ironic really, given that the CD and DVD markets have largely collapsed.

When you say retail invoices, do you actually mean retail receipts ? - if that is the case then it is unlikely they will be accepted. If you can actually obtain a full and proper invoice with all the required supplier info then you may get lucky !

As above reply, your query does not really relate to selling books (your store/seller name) - are you thinking of branching out into other categories ?

Whats BMVD? Not heard that before

I do sell books and have been doing over the past year but looking to move into new categories, I’ve found books generally not too bad when it comes to gating, most get approved easily.

I’ve just been researching some new categories/products this week and I’m finding that each one I’m gated, I can obtain an invoice no problem from the retailers but just not sure if they’ll be accepted with being retail invoices
