DOUBLE Charge for Post
Hi everyone,
I wonder if anyone has any experience with this and can offer advice please.
Due to low delivery scan rates… In January we switched from purchasing all our Amazon post from Click and Drop via our Royal Mail Business account to Amazon buy shipping on our Amazon account via Seller central. Cleary Amazon have charged us for the post which has been delivered - As a result of buying our post from Amazon directly our VTR has limbed from 71% to 91.37% today.
This morning I’ve received an invoice for more than £1,500.00 from Royal mail.
Before I jump in with both my big feet - can anyone tell me if this is a thing and how it may have occurred…
We’ve been deleting all our orders from the Royal Mail Click and Drop Website and we don’t purchase any other Royal Mail Services.
Thank you…

When you use Buy Shipping with your Royal Mail Business Account connected to Amazon, you don’t pay Amazon. Amazon just process the labels and you then get billed by Royal Mail.

Is your RM account linked so that you are actually buying RM24 and 48 with code CRL ?
Or are you buying standard 1st and 2nd class ?
are you manifesting on amazon and are you sure its a bill and not a surcharge for undeclared post?
Go to amazon - reports - payments - transaction view - delivery labels purchased through amazon
That will show if you’ve been paying amazon

Amazon doesn’t charge your, Royal Mail charges you.
You should have the details on the Invoice you received. Do you see double charge for the parcels?

You need to be more specific.
Royal Mail don’t tend to have a periodic billing cycle, you are billed based on your credit with Royal Mail.
Let’s say you spend £500 per week and your credit is £1500, then your billing cycle will be every 3 weeks as you are billed based on your current usage, the length of time in which you receive the bills will therefore lengthen or decrease over time and purchases.
Just check the billing periods and see if it tallies up.

Yeah we usually get billed £1k or 30 days whichever is first too, it was implied to me that this is normal.

I have just used Amazon buy shipping for the first time today as it is pretty much impossible not to due to VTR. However my Click and drop account is still linked to Amazon and is dropping in orders automatically. Do I have to unlink the account to RM Click and drop otherwise surely I will get billed twice? Also there are no labels showing in C+D drop that I have bought from Amazon so my end of day manifest is going to be wrong surely as it can’t see those we are sending out with other orders from my own website?

Thanks everyone. I feel I have no choice as have had threatening emails from Amazon for weeks now about VTR. Some people seem to have had their listings taken down because of it.

PS I have just downloaded the
General end of day form and printed it off - it that everything I need to do? Where do I see that I haven’t been charged by Amazon but by RM?

Nah doesn’t bother me, I pay the same amount, doesn’t matter if its once a month or once every 3 weeks. Still the same expense at the end of the year.

Do you trade on eBay or anywhere else using Click and Drop?
