New Seller Forum launch
Hi Sellers!
We are excited to announce that we will be launching a new Seller Forum experience this month. More information will come out later next week here in the Forums before launching, so please be on the lookout.
On a high level we have worked to improve navigation and search functionality, and have increased the ability to personalise the content that you want to see.
Additionally, Amazon Community Managers will be here to engage with you while also sharing tips to help you on your Seller journey.
We look forward to seeing you in the new Forums!

Hello Third_Time_A_Charm!
Thanks for your questions. Please find below the responses:
The migration will be done in cohorts and will happen over this and next week.
Any profiles that are not claimed are anonymized (user names are not attached to the profile and business names are not present on the profile that is associated with old posts). As a part of the onboarding process, you will need to access to Forums 2.0 and claim your profile. If you do not take any actions and do not onboard - your profile will stay anonymized.
Once your profile is migrated, you will be prompted to onboard to new Forums. It is when you will have to make the decision to migrate the old content or start fresh from there.
I hope it answered your questions.
Please let me know if you have any more questions/doubts.
Best,
Maja

can anyone translate into words of one syllable for me please? So we can now keep the names we use now - is that what this means?

I commented above as saying I was a former poster. Now the thing is, and I never understood how she could do this, but Kika was able to identify who a seller was from their forum profile. She outed some German guy once who thought he was posting anonymously, by posting his actual user name in the forum. I never worked out how she did that, and she refused to answer when asked. I guess she had some inside info. This was some years ago, but the point is this. You run the risk of being outed by some unscrupulous employee even with anonymous posting…

If people are leaving, then I must extend a HUGE thanks to each and every person that has responded to my questions over the years (used to be posting as 123BOP)
@The_Little_Shop @Dedez @Demel @JillyB1 @NEil @Simply_NikNaks1 @Postees1 @Smiley_Guy and so many others - This place would be nothing without you ladies and gents.
I’ve made weird connections on the forums, watched people say goodbye due to illness, seen business’s rising and falling.
I am undecided what I will do, but as I work for a large business, my opinion or advice cannot be linked to the company I guess.
Thank you to you all

At the end of the day, every seller has to make a choice, to remain, or not to remain. It makes no difference to us because (as a limited company) all our details were public anyway. However, I understand perfectly about how some sellers will perceive the risks of being public too great to bare, simply to be able to comment on a forum.

Although I have been selling on Amazon for years and years and years .
I never really used the forums until the pandemic ,I might stay ,I might not .
I use my Business Name on eBay Instrgram Linkedin Twitter etc when posting ,with only a few hiccups .

Do we know the date already?
-
If unknown, will we be told in time by email?
And in Seller central news?.. -
Will we have time to make the necessary adjustments (change ID name?) so that all our OLD posts don’t immediately show our selling account?
-
Is it too early to do the ID name change now?

If we are away on holiday when it happens, or we missed the info, and also are not clearly explained to how to avoid our info being revealed/what to do, AND suddenly our details are exposed due to past posts, this to me looks very much like a breach of our privacy rights according to GDPR - we never agreed to this when we took part and posted info in the past supposedly anonymously. I’m amazed this is allowed, if it is.

Let’s hope so. If not, it would not only be unfair, but I think against our GDPR rights, which I hope Amazon is aware of and wouldn’t want to violate.

At the end of the day, this is all going to happen very soon so no matter what people think or want, it’s going to happen anyway. Without a doubt, I’m looking forward to the end of a few “undesirables”, whose only purpose here was to cause aggro, but I’m not looking forward to the loss of good people I’ve communicated with for nigh on ten years.

Its a shame about the changes to the forum, as it is the best source of help. I can see it turning into more of blog, as has been suggested from some other companies we know, and theyhave said they will be using th eforums as a blog. rather than a forum

So, @Jessica has just posted and it all begins tonight !
