Printful To Amazon UK Intergration Completly Broken Winter 2024

Hi,

Want to report this here due to my frustration at the lack of disclosure on this issue. All products tested when pushing from Printful to Amazon fail, this is due to a default taxonomy mapping mismatch on all items.

It seems Amazon have revised the base product categories and Printful have not updated their platform to reflect these category changes.

The full error is below but in a nutshell, we have a moronic loop going on.

Amazon is receiving the feed and changing (for example) the 'HAT' category to 'COSTUME_HEADWEAR' then asking us to log into the Merchant centre and manually approve the suggested revision

Because this product is provided by a Printful feed, when you go to the product on the Merchant Centre, it asks you to resubmit the feed.

In Printful these product category mappings are set as default and the user is unable to modify them.

GENIOUS!

To date, Printful support has only been able to supply a completely inadequate workaround where one would have to create the product and import it into the Amazon store first, then relink the product and all individual variants. (It would take less time to strip out Printful entirely and start from scratch).

No guidance has been issued on when or if this issue will be fixed. It was implied that this was an Amazon issue so I would ask.

Do US or Asia region store owners have a similar problem?

Are the Amazon integration management team aware?

Are Printful providing any guidance as to when they hope to address this issue?

Thanks

Error reported back to Printful when pushing

Having the most applicable product type for a product enhances both the seller and customer experiences; therefore, we have amended the product_type of your submission from HAT to COSTUME_HEADWEAR. To remove the warning attached to your product, simply accept our suggested Product Type and resubmit the SKU. Alternatively, if the original Product Type you selected is correct, you may change the SKU attributes, such as title, product description, and bullet points, so that your product more clearly matches that original Product Type. If you feel both the Product Type you had selected and the original SKU attributes are correct, please contact seller support..

That's all we know. If you need some help, please contact our support, provide the error code below, and we'll see what we can d
