Selling branded products against the brand
If I sell a branded product and the only other seller on the listing is the brand themselves, will I get any % of the Buy Box?
I have permission from the brand to sell the product, but is there anything from Amazon's side that will block me from getting sales?

There isn't a specific rule that would prevent you getting it.
That said, things like account health, price and stock location can be a factor. I would imagine you can't beat the brand on price and unless they've slipped up then i'd also imagine they'd have enough stock to ensure theirs is also closest to the buyer. That's assuming FBA.
I suppose the real question is why would you want to try and compete against the brand itself when it seems you couldn't really win?

Do you have permission from them to sell on Amazon?

If you are eligible for the buy box you will receive it. The brand doesn't have a monopoly on the buy box.
I share listings with a brand owner and I get the buy box and I sell the item.
However the brand maybe able to sell the item cheaper and this will drive the buy box towards them. You may find if the price differential is very high you will not get any of the buy box.

it may be that the brand will stick to RRP and just want to ensure coverage/availability to consumers.
