Overcharged Amazon fees after proving correct package dimensions for re-measurement

Before my inventory arrived to the Amazon warehouse I had set the package dimensions of my product 45 cm x 11.8 cm x 11.8 cm with 1.30 kg weight for my ASIN in Manage Inventory. Once Amazon started to process my inventory into the warehouse, these dimensions had gotten changed to larger size (44.60 x 13.50 x 12.30 cm) by Amazon when I Edit my ASIN and navigated to Shipping > Item Package Dimensions.

When I immediately realised of this change while inventory was being processed in the warehouse, I contacted Amazon to tell them that the dimensions they set were wrong. Amazon re-measured and still measured the package bigger (they measured it as 44.60 x 13.50 x 12.30 cm, 1.28kg weight) which ultimately meant higher fees paid for orders being fulfilled.

I rejected their re-measurement value and chased up regarding the issue. They then asked me to send proof of my package being the dimensions that I suggested, so I provided proofs of this by providing supplier conversation and photos from third-party inspection report which showed the packaged unit measured with tape matching the measurements I had provided. Amazon then confirmed the new measurements as what I had originally provided, the weight was also proven to be slightly less than 1.30kg, rather 1.27kg.

I then noticed that the product dimensions changed in Manage Inventory > Shipping > Item Package Dimensions back to what I had originally set, just the weight went to 1.27kg based on the proof I provided. However, the revenue calculator still showed the dimensions that Amazon had wrongly inputted from before and so too the Estimated fee per unit sold column. I waited days for this to be reflected correctly again but it never did.

Fast forward, I start selling and instead of being charged £3.36 for my fees. I am charged £3.68 by Amazon on every order. Sometimes I am being charged more on some units. Worth noting that my packaging is a polybag and the product is inside it.

I go back to Amazon to report the issue of fees overcharge and they kept insisting on re-measurement and that my quota was done as I could only do it twice over 60 days. I told them that the re-measurement was already done, providing the former Case ID as context and proof that Amazon had made change to the original values. I kept getting copy & paste response about how re-measurement can’t be done with the same old incorrect measurements being re-iterated to me for my ASIN.

At this point, I feel like I’m speaking to a brick wall. Nobody from their team bothers to look at the related Case ID and make the appropriate change to the system and reimburse me for overcharging me on every order. It’s as though Amazon’s intent is to take away their sellers profits even if the mistake is on their side. They simply do not care.

the only thing you can do is to open new cases and ignore the measurement twice in 60 days rule.

I spent nearly 1 month for them to correct the remeasurement of one product.
