Asked to verify my identity using withPersona - legit or not?

I received an email today that looks like its from Amazon, telling me to confirm my identity in order to continue selling on Amazon.com. The link is to a third party website.

I asked the UK Amazon support (I'm based in the UK) and they said it was a phishing attempt and I should not respond. I then asked the US support and after an hour on chat they have said it is real, but there is nothing in my account health or performance notifications. I have been selling for a few years without any problems.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Based off of the information you have provided, I see that you have received an email for identity verification.

Typically when a communication has been sent out for identity verification, it will be sent to you through performance notification or a case log, and a copy of it will be sent to your email. Have you received the same communication you received in your email in your performance notification or case log? Can you share the email you have received in this post please? Make sure to remove your personal information out.

We are here to help. If you have additional questions or concerns, please let us know here in this thread.

Best wishes,

Cade

Hello @Seller_DB6zI3eE52rRV,

Thank you for following up with your screenshot.

No I've had nothing in performance notifications and there have been no further emails or follow ups - here is the original email I received:

This would typically be a notification in seller central if there was a request or requirement for you to complete a video call. I would also suggest that you follow our guidance on reporting phishing. When you reach this page you will see a tab title "Report Something Suspicious", which will then guide you through the process of submitting your report.

If there was a request to complete a video call, we will send a performance notification to seller central, it is always advised to confirm the requested details in seller central prior to selecting or clicking on anything, additionally if you do not see a related notice to report the communication.

The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.
