SC telling me to purchase inventory from Amazon to get ungated, and then telling me the invoice supplied by Amazon is not valid...

I know there is another thread about this but as per the forum guidelines, I recognise I need to make my own to get someone to investigate.

For some months now, on the ungating requirements for multiple grands, Amazon explicitly state that items purchased direct from Amazon are acceptable, however a greater number of units is required as with other suppliers (50 units rather than the usual 10). I have been trying to get ungated for a specific brand for some time, and I was told by SC that I needed to provide an invoice with 50 units fulfilled by Amazon in order to get ungated. Since doing exactly that, SC have repeatedly refused to ungate me with the reasons being provided as I did not upload an "invoice" and also that you were "unable to verify my supplier".

I know there are various people on this forum who think it is not within Amazon rules to get ungated by Amazon invoices, but as a seller, we can only go by the information provided by Amazon. In this case, Amazon remains advertised on the ungating requirements, furthermore; SC directly told me to do this, and since then they are refusing my application only on the basis of false reasons - since the document I uploaded is very much an invoice, and the supplier is Amazon (ridiculous to state it cannot be verified given it is the ONLY supplier actually listed on ANY ungating page!).

I think it's fair to say, the practice of telling someone to buy from Amazon to get ungated, and then to refuse without any valid reason, would be considered at best, deeply unfair and unreasonable. Calling this practice deceptive would be generous.

Please can a mod provide an response? Why are you telling sellers to buy inventory from Amazon to get ungated and then refusing without any valid reason. I am not so naive as to think this is about boosting Amazon's sales (as some on the forum might say) and feels to me more likely to be a major miscommunication between your internal teams.

Can you share a link where Amazon says this? When you buy from Amazon, you're not getting an invoice (even though that's what it says on your orders page). It's a receipt -- just like if you walked into a local store and bought the same item.

You cannot buy from Amazon to sell on Amazon-you do not get invoices; you get receipts for your purchase (although it might say "invoice"). How long have you been selling? You always take what Amazon says with a grain of salt and do your research before jumping in.
