Looking For A Mentor To Help Guide Us
Hi,
This is more than likely not the place to ask this, or we may be laughed at for even think of this.
However we are looking at mentor who would like to share their knowledge and experience as an Amazon Seller, we want to grow and do better and have enough knowledge to then share our learning with other people who need it.
A little about us, we wanted to try something different from usually 9-5 jobs so we first tried Amazon FBA in 2019 however we could not get verified. Tried it again earlier this year, as we really did so much research before hand that we didn’t want to waste all that hard work, not sure what was different, but all our paperwork went through fine this time around.
We have been selling now for the past 3 months or so with 2 listings, its been ok-ish. But I am 100% sure we can go up a few level with the right guidance.
So if anyone has the time, and wants to teach someone that is super eager to succeed in the world of Amazon FBA please do let us know.
Many thanks

The best source of Amazon knowledge is this forum and Amazon’s Seller University.
I don’t think you will have much luck in finding a real Amazon seller with a successful business to personally mentor you, this is a FB and YT thing and I wouldn’t trust a single word they say.
But if you ever have any questions or difficulties, this forum is your best bet, there are many experienced, kind, and helpful people here.
If you are already selling, you know the basics and all you need is to keep up with the policies and work on your business.
Did you by any chance re-verify your failed account or just opened a new one?
I don’t mean to come across as condescending, I ask this because if a new account was opened, you could face a suspension on the second one.

You may want to consider using the 360 program.
I’m giving it as an option only, as frankly I think it’s far too expensive for what it is.
But it would give you access to people at Amazon, who should know the systems very well.
Just in case, I wasn’t clear enough, its EXPENSIVE!

Hi, you’re asking a pretty broad question which is fine. For FBA I would have thought it’s about making the listing as good as possible in terms of images, description and keywords etc. Then a question of any advertising you may or may not want to do to drive traffic to the listings and as others have said - staying ahead of the compliance side of things.
Perhaps you could ask a more specific question you want help on?
With FBA - Amazon kinda take care of everything else really - that’s what you pay for
Cheers

What sort of products do you sell / hope to sell?

Just being realistic but any successful seller is not likely to give an unknown a leg up. It takes months and years of hard work to succeed and there is no benefit in creating competition by teaching others. The only benefit is if you make your money by selling courses or information but these sorts of people have never really been successful sellers, they likely realised how hard it was and pivoted to selling information.
My advice would be to find a community and find others at your level where you can exchange knowledge and grow together.

I’d echo what others have said in that you are not likely to find someone with genuine knowledge and experience, offering to give that for free as a mentor (with the obvious exception of the wonderful people in this forum).
However, the first thing I would say as a mentor is that starting a business (particularly on Amazon) based on a loophole or circumventing amazons policies is just asking for trouble. What happens if you become successful to the point of employing staff and then Amazon connect your new account to the one you were unable to verify and then suspend your account? Your staff will be out of jobs and you’ll likely lose a lot of money.
You’re much better off trying to get your initial account verified with the help of the experienced people on this forum.

Try YouTube out and search for UK based sellers. Darren FBA Elite, Janson Smith are two that are well known.
