Brand owners need to know how to get their brands gated without being a major 1P vendor, meaning, Amazon will not accept applications from random unauthorized sellers to create ASINs under our brands or list on existing ASINs under our brand. Amazon's lack of transparency on this topic thus far is unacceptable and offensive to brand owners who struggle to protect their product pages from bad actors.

I would like to see Amazon not allow Chinese sellers to change our brand names. It happens all the time. There should be an easy fix to stop it. We also should be gated. If I am the brand owner, why would I want another seller on my listing? Usually it is a counterfeit. We should be notified immediately that someone is on our listing.

I would like to remove products completely from Amazon; regarding brand theft on Amazon. Because Amazon allows listings to be changed by sellers that have no authority, we have decided to stop selling one brand on Amazon. Our other company owns the trademark, manufactures the product, and we are the only ones allowed to sell it on Amazon. While we have started the Brand Registry, the process is so convoluted that we decided to just stop selling it on Amazon completely. One listing has already been hijacked by a Chinese seller, and the brand name changed. We reported it twice already, to no avail. Since Amazon does not take this seriously, we will be pursuing legal recourse.
