LOW INVENTORY FEE FRAUD
I started selling a new item and got hit with a .70 low inventory fee ironically on April 15 when all other FBA fees went down.
I have been selling this item for less than a month, it says on the published low inventory fee chart that there is no historical supply and no fees charged below 28 days. Seller support keep insisting that there are fees charged below 28 days.

Hi @Seller_MIam8tCEHqXVl, I'd be happy to take a look! Have you spoken with Seller Support at all? I will just take the case ID so that I can find the ASIN.
Thank you!

Anyway, Amazon will refund the "Low inventory level fee" for April. April is just that sellers learn how it will work from May on. This was announced big on your main dashboard in seller central. Sometimes it's helpful to read the "News"....

This is misleading. While you may get back fees for April. April's low inventory impacts the months going forward so there's that. My question is how do you ever get out of FBA without low inventory fees. I've had enough of all of this nonsense.

Moderator, is there any relief for items that are at end of life (Discontinued Product)? It seems that to sell down to zero will just cause increasing fees. This really seems unfair to sellers.

Is this low inventory fee even legal? In time i guess we will see.

When I saw this update in December 2023. I slowly began to move all my listings to FBM. It has been the best thing for my company. Whenever amazon implement a new system, it is almost always a lost for the sellers using the platform either in money or time. Try to do as much as the processes yourself. Don't use customer service by amazon, multichannel fulfillment or FBA if you are trying to optimize profits and quality of service. Been selling for 6+ years and have been disappointed whenever I outsource a process to amazon.

Same thing happened to me with multiple products that I just started selling this month. How can I have low inventory for 90 days when I haven't even sold the item for 30 days yet? This low inventory fee is unreal. I have lost over $1000 on low inventory fees just this month. I am selling more products than ever but the fees and excessive returns are killing my business. I hope Amazon realizes that this is not a good thing.

Can someone tell me if closing FBA listings (making it inactive) and/or converting them to merchant fulfilled. Would that disable the low inventory fees? Or would the low inventory still trigger?

Glad I never sold FBA. Seems like a nightmare. It's bad enough FBM with all the crap they force us to do.
