Bullet points removed

Sample asin: B07GNMNRPS
I am brand registered, have been for 3/4 years and have had the SFP badge for around 5 years and sold as a business on Amazon for 11 years
Recently I have seen the bullet points or the ‘about this item’ detail removed from a number of my listings on the live system.

I am 100% certain that I have had no notifications regarding this and the listings are still live, still ‘amazon choice’ still with the prime badge the only thing that seems to have changed is that amazon have removed the bullet points.
Any thoughts or pointers would be great please

I’ve had it happen before, never did find the cause, just had to enter new ones. I used to check my listings periodically, but with over 1,000 now I’ve given up

Unfortunately you get no notifications about anything changing on listings, not even if someone manages to change all the photos, the bullet points and description making it essentially a different product from the one you’ve been selling for year…

There is software you can pay for that lets you know if any of your listings have had any changes (which I presume includes bullet points vanishing), but I cant remember the names

I can think of a handful of unlikely reasons.

First, the bullet points may only be on the Parent ASIN, which may have been supplanted by one of the Child ASIN’s as the contributor of the Bullet Point information. Try checking the bullet points as they are set in the Child ASINs. If you put the info in any that are missing it, it may return.

Second, the Child ASIN that was contributing the bullet points could have become disconnected from the Variation family. I see 5 variations. is that the correct number?

Third, some of the data in the parent may have become corrupted in the back end. You could try using a flat file to PartialUpdate to put the bullet points back or you could delete the parent for 24 hours then use a file upload to Update the Parent SKU so the system has had a chance to clear out any old info interfering.

Fourth, one of the ASINs may have had a category change randomly, putting it in a category that doesn’t use bullet points from the data the seller gives. I know books can be like this, as they are supposed to pull the info from Nielsen(I think it’s called). I don’t know if there are other categories like this.

I don’t think any of those are likely, but if you can’t see another reason, I’d check to make sure.

From my experience of this it. It normally happens to an ASIN which I create. At some point Amazon then revoke my permission to list the brand and I then go and edit the product or convert it to FBA then the bullet points and description disappears.

Just check you still have permission to list the brand (try creating a new product). If you don’t you need to go to Seller Support to resolve.

This shouldn’t be the case in your situation if you are the Brand owner but just double check.

The other situation where I have seen it happen shouldn’t be relevant to you. This is when the creator of the ASIN deletes it out of their catalogue. This then deletes all the bullet points and descriptions. To me this is a bug but it has worked this way for years.

I use software called Bindwise to keep track of when products are changed. This includes descriptions and bullet points. It doesn’t seem to work for images though…although at one point it was. My only grumble is that it is a little bit too noisy and gives me alerts when irrelevant information is changed. There are others on the market out there and I am going to look to see if I can find a better product.

so much for touching wood!
Last night before leaving the office all the bullet points were visable on the live system. This morning they have all gone again.
The same thing has happened on a number of other listing… on one multi listing ‎B0BC22D5KV the bullet points on 5 of 6 of the items disappeared almost in front of my eyes.
