Stop resellers on ebay - any advice?
Hey. I’m new to selling on Amazon - 4 weeks live now. I have noticed my product is for sale by a few sellers on Ebay for more money. I don’t think for one minute they’re simply buying from me and reselling, I believe they’re most likely drop shipping. Ok, what’s so bad, a sale is a sale yeah? But what’s bugging me is they’ve copied my whole listing info and essentially acting as if they are my brand. I’m worried in case they give a bad experience and then it reflects badly on my brand. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do? Many thanks people!

Create your own ebay listing - they can’t match your price and it seems there’s a demand.

This has happened to me before, I messaged the actual seller and said that I was the brand owner and did not give them permission to sell my product.
Both took it down.
I think all your information is collected by a bot, it’s nothing personal.

Exact same thing with our listing. I think they have software that duplicates it.
I made my own original listing on eBay at the same price as the Amazon listing and I say that I am the brand owner. The listing also shows the company name and my listing has my business name.
I do know that Amazon have recently put extra restrictions on drop shippers, so its worth looking into the news section on your app.
Hope that helps.

How do these dropshipping sellers make money?
Even if they drop ship, the eBay comission is about 15% including VAT, so for them to make any money they must be charging the same product very high.
I want to do the MCF for my products but the cost of MCF is considerably higher than FBA as Amazon charged both the Pick and Pack as well.as for delivery, which makes it costlier than selling on Amazon directly when considering the eBay commission.

Hi
You can always go down the route below

I have this all the time, even with my own listing which is cheaper. A few years back I actually met their European Marketing Manager and asked about this. They couldn’t care less.

I once bought an item for £9.99 on eBay.
Then when it arrived, it was drop shipped from Amazon, where it was £5.99 on there. (Amazon Retail)
As a customer I was a bit peeved after checking I could buy it £4 cheaper elsewhere. Nothing I could really do about it, but next time when I look to order, will check Amazon too. (Usually when shopping I find eBay is cheaper than Amazon, hence didn’t check there).

This happened to me and I was initially really worried about it.
I looked into the sellers and some of them have in excess of 200,000 products for sale on ebay, all of which are Amazon FBA items.
They make a few pence on the item if it sells.
That said, it floods my product with loads of listings on Ebay which really highlights and exposes my brand.
Where as if these resellers were not selling my product, I would only have one listing.
I cant say there has been anything negative come out of it for me.

When you say you are worried they may give a bad experience, you must remember that it is you still giving the experience. It is not so much what they may do with the brand that is a problem it is what they may do with claims and refunds.
Have a look at the feedback of the person selling as ebay do make it easy to set up multiple accounts and then offer drop ship. Once the orders have been placed they could then say it has not been received and put in a returns without returning it because it is the drop shipper requesting not the end customer. As it is FBA, 9 times out of 10 you won’t even check it and Amazon do like to dish out refunds with it not being their funds.
The other issue is that you will have spotted it on ebay but chances are is that your advert will be all over different selling channels and facebook.
You are right to be careful with this but at the same time many drop shippers do this legitimately and you do get business from it. Also your product is getting exposure and should an unautthorised drop shipper make good sales from it, you can then nip in and grab the sales. It would be a win win and they couldn’t compete with you.
You will see quite often on the feedback with customers querying why the product has turned up in Amazon packaging and then find the product on Amazon and buy it from there in future so not all bad for you and for Amazon.
You can fulfil orders yourself on Ebay using Amazon fulfillment and you will only be charged the fba fee, you won’t need to pay for the selling fees so it would still be advantageous to just put the advert up for yourself and every sale is a bonus.

If they are buying your stock from FBA to dropship on eBay - at least you are getting the dropshippers sale on amzn ?!! this has to be good for you surely.
check who keeps buying your stock on amzn - if you want to see who it is
If you are UK based - create a removal order for a few units - when you get them back - put a listing on eBay (undercutting the reseller) and see what happens
