Valid Tracking Rate Royal Mail

i had a phone call from Amazon Today saying that may account may be suspended because of my VTR

its currently 75% and steadily decreasing by 0.5% each day

my dispatch process has not changed, all of my products are large letters and sent by my royal mail business account which is linked to Amazon using Royal Mail 48

I’ve seen on here that a few people have had problems but the call made it sound like it was me alone and wanted to know how i was going to rectify the situation with Royal Mail before my account gets suspended if i can’t find an alternative carrier

any advice please?

RM is linked to Amazon. CLR48 rate on C&D £0.86 but on Amazon £1.04. I feel like I am missing something here?

My account wasn’t suspended but like everybody else, I get a few emails saying that I might get suspended.
If the tracking codes that are not scanned are accepted, why VTR goes down and send emails that ruin the sellers day? They either fix this or scratch VTR.

I’ve had this overnight:

"Dear seller,

Recently, there have been some problems with your valid tracking rate. Our policy requires you to maintain a Valid Tracking Rate greater than 95%. Your orders are lower than or at risk of falling below the goal of 95%.

We recommend that you look at your tracking for your orders and make a plan to get back on track. To learn more about order valid tracking rate, search for “Seller Performance Measurement” in Seller Central Help. If this problem continues, we may not allow you to sell on Amazon.co.uk."

I’m in the same boat as the OP. What do we think? Safe to ignore?

How did you leave the phone call with them? Did you explain that all your shipments have tracking and it is RM’s lack of scanning on delivery that is letting you down?

I think it’s likely that the reason the recent emails have had the warning of listing suspension is just because their automated system sees you’ve already have emails/calls about VTR and it hasn’t improved.

The people who have had listing suspended and have posted about it on here have typically had low (sometimes 0%) VTR since the change for 1st/2nd Class in July. Given the length of time, I think it’s reasonable to think that they give you a couple of tries to repair your VTR after the first warning.

I actually took note in the first two Webinar’s on VTR that they were dodging the question of ‘at what point will we be suspended?’ When that was brought up they would talk about the assessment period, and talk about when emails would be sent to tell people their VTR was failing, but never actually say that people would have listings suspended at a specific point.

Had the same problem with Royal Mail tracked items and Amazon have now removed all our listings under health and beauty !

It is mainly standard tracked with a few signed for but they do not recognise the standard tracked numbers as valid which is the main problem i think

The VTR was fine using this method for the last couple of years.
Problem only started in the last few months

We use Royal Mail “click and drop” which provides a tracking number for “standard” second and first class items and can be used on their tracking website
