OnBuy Website

Hi All, just wondered if anyone has used OnBuy to purchase and sell items on amazon. An example is i have found a disney teddy bear that says it is made in the same factor and has all the labels etc but wondered if there is a way to check to see if this is 1, legitimate as i dont want amazon closing down my account due to 'counterfeit' items, 2, anyone used the website and found any issues when reselling on amazon?

The issue will be is if you ARE asked to provide invoices. They won't accept OnBuy receipts to prove authenticity.

As well as what thirtythreeandthird says - you will also have to list the item as Used and not New.

TBH I would not do retail arbitrage (where you buy from other places to resell on Amazon) on any branded goods. It will be impossible for you to prove authenticity as you did not source from an authorised source.

Personally, I wouldn't touch disney with a 100 foot bargepole unless I was buying direct from disney's distributors.

Disney are one of the most brutal companies in terms of protecting their IP and have been known to go after small businesses without a second thought.

I wouldn't even think about it. All the Disney products I stock are licensed products which can be proved if necessary. You would have no proof of authenticity of a product you have purchased on Onbuy

In general Onbuy tends to be more expensive than Amazon anyway. You might find it hard to make a profit from any item you buy on there. If it is a cheap price this may well indicate that it is not a genuine product.
