How do we get permission to sell used books when they are books that have been on my bookshelf....receipts not available. How are we to get permission to sell the "brands"? I see other people asking this question....but I cannot view any replies to their questions. It would be helpful to see the replies to the same question as mine. Very confusing.

Unless you have some sort of unresolved issue with verification of your account, you should not be blocked from listing most books.
Are you selling old textbooks? Are you blocked from ALL books you attempt to list?
If you are being asked for invoices, then you won't be able to sell that book. But, other than textbooks, this is unusual.

If you are just selling some personal items, Amazon is not for you. EBay is better.
There are some huge overhead costs to selling here: lots of BS you have to slog through, and lots of lies that you have to interpret.
It is only worth it if you can amortize all of the overhead costs over thousands of sales. Unless you are in it for the long haul, Amazon is not a good deal for you.
