Royal Mail 48 affecting Valid Tracking Rate

Greetings,

Our VTR has been in trouble ever since we have recently changed to Royal Mail for our Large Letter parcel format. This service uses the code PPT and the name displayed on Amazon is Royal Mail 48.

We previously partnered with another company, who handed the package over to Royal Mail for final mile delivery that was essentially untracked, we never had any issue with the VTR. However we noticed that if the tracking number for a Royal Mail 48 parcel lacks a delivery scan, it is being considered as a defect by Amazon and is affecting our VTR.

Is there an alternative for this? It has been only a few weeks since the switch and this may stabilize to reasonable levels, but we are very concerned that our VTR will drop below the 95% mark, which then threatens our seller account.

Please assist us.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Infinite Books UK

For RM48, it will only be considered valid if it receives a delivery scan BUT Amazon policy says they will verify the tracking numbers and won't suspend categories if the numbers are fine and the delivery scans are the only problem.

Your VTR will be below 95%, and you might get the warnings still, but your listings won't be in danger.

That said, it's unclear exactly how Amazon verify the tracking numbers. We use RM24 and have never had a VTR as high as 95% and have had no problems, but we use code CRL. I've not seen anyone using code PPT before, so I can't say if it being that code makes a difference, but according to the policy, they should be fine.
