18k in debt due to removal orders

So currently I have 18k in debt and removed all stock.

Big issue now is that it was way more expensive to remove the stock then I expected.

Now I have less money in my bank then the 18k. Also it was already borrowed money to begin with.

So if amazon comes after the company , my company will be declared bankrupt. And probably amazon doesnt get any or just a little money.

How can I get in contact with Amazon to make a deal so I can pay them an amount and not be declared bankrupt?

So far I had no succes in getting in contact besides seller central help Wich don't know a thing about this.

Sorry to hear of your problems.

You can try emailing managingdirector@amazon.co.uk but as they are just an extension of Seller Support, you will probably get nowhere but worth a try.

Is it a limited company or are you personally liable for your debts?

Amazon have no heart and are ruthless when it comes to money so be prepared for the worst to happen.

Are you wanting to continue selling on Amazon? If not, I'd wait for Amazon to start emailing you chasing the money you owe...from what I've read you will eventually get a performance notification saying that your account is at risk because of the outstanding balance and they will offer you a payment plan.

It's up to you whether you agree to, or even stick to a payment plan, but I honestly don't think Amazon have anyone with enough common sense to be able to wind your company up.

It is very unlikely that Amazon will take a part payment for the debt you owe. The best you may be able to get is a payment plan to pay the money off in instalments.

I would get some professional help with this if there is no way you can pay off the debt. Assuming you are a limited company and a Director of that company you should look into winding your company down, you will probably need to declare your company insolvent and appoint an administrator. That way your debts are managed by the administrator and Amazon may only get some or none of the money they are owed.

If you do go down this route you will probably not be able to sell on Amazon again as Amazon will link future accounts.

Also look at the stock you had returned can you sell that quickly (perhaps as a bulk sell) and raise the money Amazon require. You can then pay off your debt with that. This may avoid you having to close your company and you can start again.

Removal orders are expensive as they are charged by the unit and the larger the unit size the more you are charged. They are though published by Amazon so you can not argue that they are not available prior to a removal order. However Amazon really should display the expected removal cost when a removal order is placed to avoid this type of confusion.
