Delivery base rate reserve or DD+7
Hi All
I know their are a number of threads on this topic but I just wanted to make sure my query did not get lost amongst threads.
We all know despite the best efforts of some sellers & MPs that this was kicked into the short grass a couple of times but now seems a reality come April.
I have a couple of questions which I hope sellers in the know or Amazon Mod's might answer. Firstly (and I have messaged Amazon on this with no reply) they say "When the DD+7 base reserve policy is applied to your account, the change may cause a one-time cash flow issue for your business and may temporarily impact your ability to disburse funds if your balance is lower than the reserve fund required.
This implies there is an amount which is considered as "a reserve fund" if so what is that amount? as I have always been under the impression that Amazon will withhold funds from every sale for 7 days after delivery, yet typically Amazon seems to contradict "may temporarily impact your ability to disburse funds if your balance is lower than the reserve fund required."
So which is it?
Finally if it is as I suspect funds from all sales, how on earth will we know what orders Amazon has released payment for & orders it's still not released funds for, unless they plan to state "Funds held for this order or funds released for this order, clearly visible for each sale?
Hope someone can clarify as I don't think I will continue to sell on here come April if it's a guessing game!
Regards
Ed

I have a sales ledger spreadsheet with the following columns, one order per line:
Order number. Order Date. Total Sales. Total Fees. Net Fees. VAT. Net Sales. Date posted. Estimated last delivery date. Date EDD+8 (it is not +7 as Amazon says, it the day after so really DD+8). Date disbursed. Date in bank.
So it is an easy matter of marking those that have been paid. If you look in the transaction view for each statement it already gives the order numbers.
