Get a trademark with anyone. It does not have to be Amazon.
It takes 2-3 days to get your serial number. That is all you need for Brand Registry.
It takes 12-24 months for a registration number. You need this if you have a counterfeit seller problem.

In regard to your inquiry, you can apply to Brand Registry with your TM status pending, as long it is filed through Amazon IP accelerator or in one of the subsets of accepted trademark offices.
