As the registered UK trademark holder of our product, we list it in both the UK and the US. After two years of sales, a minor adjustment to the product's ingredients has prompted us to revise the listing title and description on our US listing. However, Amazon is blocking the update, citing the following:
The attribute you have requested updates on has already been claimed by another steward of the brand the ASIN is currently listed under. We've sent the changes you requested to that brand steward for consideration.
The attached change request email then comes through to our inbox.
Even with the email confirming brand ownership, Amazon Seller Support, as usual, proving as helpful as a chocolate fireguard, insists that we are not the brand owner. When questioned about the identity of the brand owner, they assert that this information cannot be disclosed as it is confidential.
I can only assume there is an issue because we do not own the US trademark. FYI, nobody owns this trademark. But surely we are allowed to update our US listing like we did when we first added it to Amazon?
Is there someone at Amazon with just a tiny piece of brain that can help?
