Insufficient Sales History - Has anyone figured this coupon error out?!
I keep getting an error with "Insufficient Sales History - ASINs do not have sufficient sales history" whenever I try to add a coupon! It ONLY does this on the items I've had for years and have lots of sales. I never seem to get this on new items that have NO sales... but yet setting up a coupon for those items never seems to get me any sales :(
Here's what Amazon told me when I tried to get help...
Amazon: I appreciate your patience, I was checking and the suppression can not be lifted since it's amazon internal algorithm that makes the ASINs eligible, if you are having that error, you can not add the ASIN to the coupon
Me: Ok so most of my listings that I've been selling for years cannot have a coupon?
Amazon: Yes correct, if you get an error of suppression, you can not add the ASINs
Me: Ok, there is no given reason for this?

Me: Yes I understand that but it doesn't tell me reasons
Amazon: Yes, we don't have the exact reason either
?!?!

Thank you for using the Forums. I know the information you have been provided by our support team is very limited and this causes clear frustration.
Beyond the information you have already been provided, you need to have a consistent price over a period of few months without drastic price changes, this could be compared against similar items under the same category. You also need to make sure your listings have List Price and remain complaint under Amazon Policy on Reference Prices.
I know there are still additional questions you may have, but we don't have additional specifics on this issue.
