Shipping to Spain - what is going on?

Hello everyone! I wonder if anyone else experiencing what we do for the past week.
Every order we shipped to Spain is retained by Correos customs and notifications sent to the recepients asking to provide:

  • Full name of the sender
  • Passport details
  • Full address
  • Postcode
Bear in mind that we are registered on Amazon as a Professional Seller and ship all orders from our warehouse, stating the shipping and return address as our business address.
Furthermore, since we are shipping products to EU customers from a non-EU location, where Amazon has collected VAT, we always ensure that the following information is clearly noted on every parcel we ship:
  • Amazon’s Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) number
  • The intrinsic value of the consignment as assessed by Amazon at check out
  • The Amazon order ID.

We have been doing it religiously since e-Commerce (EU VOEC) Legislation - 2021 came in place and never had any issues like that before with any EU countries. We also shipped munerous orders to Spain previosly without any issues. Up until begining of March.
Enyone else experiencing the same? What is going on?

Many thanks in advance.
