amazon fees

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that the fees charged by Amazon are too high? I've been selling on the platform, and every time I make a sale, the percentage I get is minimal compared to what Amazon keeps. In a recent example, I made a sale of $650, but only received $25. If you calculate it, Amazon took 90% of the sale in fees.

It makes me feel like I'm working more for Amazon than for myself. I understand they need to cover operational costs, but the amount I get paid seems ridiculous compared to what they keep. Has anyone else had similar experiences or have any suggestions on how to handle these fees?

There has to be something wrong or your product heavy like an elephant! The referral fee is (probably) 15% = $ 97.50 + shipping. Can you buy that product with $ 25.--?? And shipping to FBA?

Good Evening @Seller_0hPQPLEInNkkF,

It looks like a few other sellers provided some guidance to your question around certain fees.

If any of their replies helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. This helps other sellers find the answer to your question at the top of the post just in case they find themselves in a similar situation.

I'd also recommend checking out the Revenue Calculator tool which allows you to preview and compare revenue estimates for products based on the fulfillment channel used. Easily see which fees apply to each fulfillment option and enter sales volume estimates to calculate total proceeds, as well as per-unit sold estimates.

Please let us know if you require any additional assistance on this topic or you may reach out to Selling Partner Support at anytime. Have a good night.

Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
