UK postage FBM
Hi If individual seller, whats best way to deal with postage to keep costs down? Which company do Amazon use if you use Amazon postage? Dont want this to affect satisfaction ratings?
If I use my own insured couriers is that ok? e EVRI, Royal Mail etc all do insured postage.
Thanks

With Amazon Buy Shipping you can choose whichever carrier you want if on the list - RM, Evri. etc. You do NOT have to send everything tracked, only worth it for items over approx. £20, and Evri only insure up to that level. Anything more than that and RM signed for is up to £50. Personally I use Yodel for higher value items as you can add insurance up to the full value, but each to their own.
The advantage of Buy Shipping is that they automatically confirm shipment once you have purchased the label, don't need to do it manually.

Pretty much the only way to keep postage costs down is to have a business account with RM.
That's not really practical or even possible unless you are a fairly high volume seller.
Unless you plan on selling lots of low priced items in fairly large numbers, postage prices are not hugely relevant.
It's practically impossible to compete against mega sellers at the cheap/popular end of the book market, even with the lowest postage rates you could realistically attain.
