Was there a USPS rate increase on Oct 26th? My rates in stamps software are have gone up. Called stamps and they are saying that rates went up on oct 26th. Rates on amazon shipping are the same as were last week. Is anyone experiencing this issue?

USPS temporarily raises prices each year during the holiday season (most shipping services like UPS and FedEx will also do this each holiday season).
- The temporary rates would go into effect on Sunday, Oct. 6, and remain in place until Sunday, Jan. 19.
Google ... "usps holiday rates 2024" to find the rate changes.
Depending on the provider (like Stamps), the time at which they have implemented this holiday temporarily rated increase has varied a little.

USPS rates were on the 6th and the 26th was Amazons self implemented tier change where they are now over charging all sellers who use usps. You old 8oz price now stops at 7oz as Amazon made their tiers all lower by 1oz which is costing us 60-90 cents more per order using Amazon shipping vs buying shipping from USPS directly. Question is not Amazon is over charging sellers 100's of millions of dollars per day how is this even legal as Amazon did not announce they are shipping their own tiers away from the standards without announcing this to all sellers that they are making this change. Seems lake major class action brewing.

First: USPS has implemented temporary rate changes for the 2024 holiday shipping season. This peak-season pricing affects Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail and USPS Ground Advantage. These rate changes have been applied to Amazon Buy Shipping beginning yesterday, October 28.
However, as many sellers pointed out: there is an issue with Ground Advantage thresholds for shipments under one pound, specifically for 4/8/12-ounce shipments.
I shared these seller reports with our partner team, and they confirmed that there is an issue and that they are working to correct it. I will follow up in the forums when I receive updates, but a fix is being worked on.

In some previous years, when the "temporary increase" expires, USPS will have a new rate hike. It's like the holiday rates are just an early gouging.
