GS1 Policy Violation - Possible clash with bundling policy
Morning fellow sellers,
I would say I’m relatively new on Amazon (been doing FBA - Im still an infant in this arena compared to many contributors on here).
So I sell cosmetics (Shampoos and Conditioners along with other hair products). I recently had one of my listings closed down due to GS1 Violation. Now I didn’t create this listing but rather started selling on existing one to avoid duplication in the catalogue.
The listing details are ASIN: B079KJCDWC; UPC: 703694006371. Now this is a bundle of 3 items (Shampoo Conditioner and Detangler). Upon a quick a search I can see that this UPC doesn’t exist which is possibly why this may have happened?
The individual items that compose the bundle are:
Shampoo - ASIN: B01LTIAUGU; UPC: 817513015465
Conditioner - ASIN: B00OFUU1T6; UPC: 817513015472
Detangler - ASIN: B01LTIAUEM; UPC: 817513015441
Now, Amazon does a similar thing on some listings: ASIN: B09YJPKCZB but this does not have a UPC/EAN or at least I cannot locate one.
So the major issue I have is 240 B079KJCDWC units stranded.
How can I go about fixing this issue without having to recall the stranded units? Also, what is the best to avoid reoccurrence of such issues.
Have emailed Amazon, its been 7 working days and I keep getting an email that they have referred this to the specialised team.
This has happed to around four listings. But all other bundles are fine.
Thank you in advance for all your help and support.

It sounds like the seller who originally listed the product used their own GS1 code, and have possibly stopped paying the subscription to keep the EANs active.
Ultimately, you should never have listed under that listing.
As stupid as it sounds, as the EAN on your products did not match the listing, then you shouldn’t have listed under it, even if you are selling the exact same item (in Amazon’s eyes it is not the exact same item)
As you were bundling items that were originally sold separately and that were not bundled with an official EAN, then you should have used your own EAN to create the listing for your bundle (and Amazon wonder why their catalogue is a mess!)
Sadly I don’t see any way around this, you have no way of requesting ownership of the EAN code to reactivate it, and as its no longer active on GS1 Amazon won’t allow it to be used.
The only way forward I believe is to make a new listing for the bundle, using your own EAN from a GS1 subscription, you could ask Amazon to relabel the items for you (for a fee per item of course), but if they won’t your only alternative is to get them returned and relabel them yourself.

Ok thanks for your replies.
Please see link below:
Is this in violation of GS1 policy as there are not GTIN credentials (no EAN or UPC etc.
