warning over buy shipping rate

We have had a warning for our buy shipping rate for PRIME orders dropped to 93%....

Baffled by this as we purchase all our shipping through Amazon, so digging a little deeper and looking at the orders on the report, I found this.

If buyer A makes 2(or more) seperate orders at the same time, to the same person and same address! I have been buying shipping for order 1, getting the tracking number and confirming order 2 with said tracking number! (saving £4.09 per order and sending both orders together in one package)

Although I have not had a reply from Amazon, i think what they are suggesting(DEMANDING!) is that I buy shipping seperately for all orders regardless if some can be combined? Any one know if this is the case? if it is.....what a con buy shipping is, especailly when you think that if you make 4 seperate orders(as a buyer) on Amazon, all 4 come in the same box.

I have guessimated that this could add(or cost us) additional £5000 a year in shipping costs!

that isn’t specifically a buy shipping thing but applies to any fulfilled by merchant order.

Separate orders must be shipped separately otherwise your VTR, or in this case your Buy Shipping rate will be hit.

Many posts on the forum requesting the ability to combine orders over the years but no luck.

The buyer has paid two lots of shipping, they should be receiving two shipments. This is true even if the amount paid for each shipment is zero.

You can't know that they didn't intentionally order them as two separate orders for some specific reason. You shouldn't just assume.
