Business registration number
I am an individual seller and do not have a registered company. However, Amazon is requesting a business registration number for verification purposes. Could anyone please advise me on how to resolve this issue?

If you live in a state that has sales tax you must be registered with the tax board for your resale permit (or whatever it is called by your state).
Any wholesale distributor you deal with will want this.
You do not need an incorporated business, but you are operating a business. This is so in the eyes of buyers, Amazon, and the IRS.
