Open shipment is blocking our FBA capacity limit - what do I do?
We have an open shipment (coming from China), which is due to arrive at FBA warehouse around 6-9th of August.
For some reason, it is blocking up our capacity limit for the month of July - this means I am unable to restock any other SKUs which we’ve sold out.
Is there any way we can pause this shipment so it doesn’t eat up my capacity limit?
What’s usually the protocol for FBA sellers who get their products directly from China to Amazon warehouse? Since it takes 4-6 weeks for the goods to arrive. Is it normal that while they’re waiting for their products they can’t restock any of their other products? Seems absolutely ridiculous to me.
I would really appreciate your help.
Best,
Tatjana

Open shipments do count towards the capacity you’ve been allocated which is why they’re capping you. No way to pause a shipment as far as i know - everything is working the way Amazon intends it to. If you were to cancel the shipment you’d get the capacity back but that’s not really an option if stock is on the way.
