Charge method not working!

please some help anyone! Received an error saying my default charge method is invalid.. it’s been working without problems since starting my account a year ago. It’s a valid Mastercard. I’ve contacted my bank to verify no problems on their end. Bank said it has received charges for $0 to verify card and has approved it. So it’s not on my banks end… put in a request for help with case # but NO HELP has been given. Cannot fulfill any orders because my account is limited and I’m very frustrated! Am I doing something wrong?

Several months ago there was a kerfuffle regarding Mastercard -- only on the seller side, not impacting buyers.

The forum was pretty well full of it -- keep your eyes open and check back to see if other threads come up.

Just to double check, are you using a true CREDIT card? or is it DEBIT?

Amazon prefers Credit cards. Debit cards will sometimes work; until they don't.

I am also providing some information that you should consider when trying to determine if a credit card is valid.

  • Is the credit card valid?
  • Is there a minimum charge amount?
  • Are you using a pre-paid card? (Note: Use of a pre-paid card is not accepted for a selling account.)
  • Does the bank have a record of the charge attempt?
  • Are there bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being authorized?
  • Is there any incorrect credit card information entered? (Note: All the credit card information entered such as number, name, address, ZIP code, or expiration date must be an exact match with your card details.)
  • Is this chargeable in the currency of the Amazon marketplace where you registered your seller account?
