Amazon FBA Boxes

Hi,

I am preparing my first Amazon FBA shipment. I read the amazon policy regarding box sizes. My question is Can I use Used boxes ( I normally get them from Grocery Stores) for FBA shipment? Its a start up so want to minimize the cost.

Thank You.

Yes, we do it all the time and have always done it. Just a few things to remember though:

Always make sure the box is identified as a packing box. To do this we either add a label stating THIS IS A PACKING BOX, SKU’s ARE INSIDE and then wrap it in brown paper; or we cover the outside of the box in white labels to obscure what the box originally held.

Always ensure there are no barcodes showing. If necessary, cover them with blank labels or tape so they cannot be read by a scanner. Other than that you’re good to go.
