Customer insisting I have had a return when I have not

Bit of a strange case and I shall try to be brief.

A few days ago a customer asks why I have not refunded an item they returned several weeks ago.

So I check the returns details, and the tracked return number issued by Amazon and it shows that the label has not been used. The number begins VZ…
So I explain to customer they have not sent the item back.

I then get several messages saying they have returned item along with several other parcels and send me copies of the acceptance receipt at post office and screenshots of the tracking details on Royal Mail website showing delivered. However, the tracking number here begins QX…

So I explain they must have made a mistake and used the wrong label on the wrong item as the return tracking number issued by Amazon begins VZ and not QX

Then I look closely at the tracking details :
3rd May Accepted at Post Office
4th May Item received at Bristol MC
5th May Item Delivered by NDC RDC Delivery
13th May Accepted at Post Office
14th May Item received at Bristol MC
15th May Item Delivered by NDC RDC Delivery

NDC is the Northampton Distribution Centre it seems - and I am in Shropshire
Also, why does it repeat 3/4/5 May then again 13/14/15 May - it makes no sense - if it was delivered somewhere by Northampton on the 5th, how could it be accepted by the PO again on the 13th?

I would say the person in NDC was not expecting parcel so returned it to the post office but it then gor delivered to them again.

Could the buyer have used the same label twice for different parcels and for some reason Royal Mail didn’t pick up on it?

Customer now sent copy of PO receipt when they took parcel in as proof they sent it back
Trouble is the delivery address postcode shows XX402TT
This is also not our postcode lol. In fact it doesnt even look like a proper postcode and googling it has not shown up any address.
So I have no clue what customer has done. I just hope if they take it to AtoZ I get a good SS person.
